Janelle + Josh // Hope, BC Waterfall Elopement

When the world started turning upside down last March… it left a lot of couples wondering what would be happening with their wedding and how it would be happening. Janelle + Josh had originally planned for a wedding out of province in Saskatchewan, but with so much up in the air and a determination to be wed, they chose to elope close to their new home in Hope, British Colombia.

Even though it wasn’t the original wedding of their dreams, their elopement was absolutely stunning and full of tears and joy. We started the day in Chilliwack for first look. the rain was coming down but they bundled up and walked across the river, wedding dress, florals and coffee in hand.

Their ceremony was held in the forest surrounded by massive moss covered trees with family and and friends in attendance via zoom. Things were made official with papers signed on coolers and tree stumps. We walked over to a massive roaring waterfall for some authentic Mexican bites and of course, wedding cake.

So thankful to have been there to capture their infectious, joyful smiles and beautiful elopement.
