what to expect + how to prepare for your maternity session

Maternity sessions are a relaxed portraiture experience capturing this special season. You might choose to bring your partner along for photos together or focus on portraits of just you and your growing little.

Depending on what your hopes and dreams are.. we can shoot outdoors, in a studio or at home. Whatever makes you feel comfortable.

You might choose to bring a few outfits along. Often others have picked a outfits that are form fitting and one that may be looser and more casual.

If you have a specific vision for photos.. I would love to see it. Please send an inspo pics or a moodboard my way.

I’m happy to share some of my favourite locations for photos if you don’t have anywhere specific in mind.

After our session, I’ll send you a previews a couple days later. The full gallery will be ready and emailed to your 2-3 weeks later.

what to expect + how to prepare for your newborn session

Once your little arrives, please notify me and we’ll work together to find a date for your session. Most often daytime sessions work best.

I always recommend photographing your newborn at home. To prepare for your session, turn the heat up in your home so it’s warm and babe is snuggly and comfy.

I work with natural light so we’ll photograph you all near the best window in your home. Depending on the time of day.. south or west facing windows are best.

Our session will focus on a natural and documentary style. We’ll take some portraits of your new little snuggled up as well as some family portraits of you all together.

Have a few outfits picked out and some blankets and swaddles close by as well.
